Mini Portraits by Sue Roe

During Lockdown, artist Sue Roe has been working on a series of mini portraits called “Women With Attitude”. She plans on doing about 30 and hopes to have a solo exhibition of them all sometime in the future. Currently she has completed 6 and this one entitled Beatrice is her favourite.

Sue plans to give each woman a short biography. In Sue’s imagination Beatrice was born in 1900 and at the age of 26 was working as a typist, in a typing pool, for a large law firm in Lincoln’s Inn, London. She is ambitious and has her sights fixed on working for the Senior Partner and who knows if things go to plan she will be going up in the world.

All the portraits will be created using print media. This may include Collagraphs, Monoprints, Solar Plate Etchings and Drypoint.
