Richmond ‘Artist of the Year’ Competition 2023 at Marble Hill House

Once again, we are thrilled to announce that our esteemed director and founder, Leigh Warnick, will be among the distinguished panel of judges for the Arts Richmond Artist of the Year 2023 competition. This prestigious event will take place at the Marble Hill House in Twickenham on Sunday, 11th June.

The competition offers a remarkable opportunity for artists aged 16 and above to showcase their talent by creating an original artwork inspired by the captivating Marble Hill House and its enchanting grounds. In only three hours, participants will have the chance to craft their masterpiece, competing for a series of coveted prizes. There is a £5 registration per person, and aspiring artists must complete their registration by the 28th of May.

Thanks to the generous support from the National Lottery and Community Fund, English Heritage has undertaken extensive renovations of Marble Hill House and its grounds in recent years. As a celebration of these revitalized spaces, local artists are invited to capture the essence and spirit of this magnificent location using their chosen artistic medium. Furthermore, the top ten works, chosen by the judges on the day, will be proudly displayed at Marble Hill House for an entire month following the competition.

Starting from 11 am, artists will be scattered throughout the site, passionately creating their masterpieces amidst the inspiring surroundings. The eagerly anticipated judging session will take place that afternoon, near the impeccably restored Coach House Cafe.

We wholeheartedly encourage artists from all walks of life to seize this extraordinary opportunity and immerse themselves in the artistic spirit of Marble Hill House.
